TwinStomp ACTIVE A/B-Y FEATURES

o    The TwinStomp ACTIVE A/B-Y pedal is designed to give trouble free connection between your guitar and two amplifiers.

      Output A has a small amount of clean boost (up to 4db) to compensate for losses and provide a little headroom for the Channel A volume control.  This Channel is coupled directly to Amplifier A.   Pedal and guitar earthing is provided through Amplifier A and the pedal cannot be used if Amplifier A is disconnected.

      Output B also has a small amount of clean boost (up to 4db) but is connected to Amplifier B through an audio frequency isolation transformer in order to eliminate earth loop noise caused by double earthing.

When both outputs are selected (Y mode) both channels receive a little extra boost (up to an extra 2db) this ensures that there is no drop off when the second amplifier is brought in.  The channel volume controls allow you to balance the two amplifiers at the pedal.

     Other boost levels or an extra 180 degrees out of phase output can be provided to special order.

o    The boost is clean and can be used with any guitar, bass or effects pedal without changing the tone.  The standard unit is designed to work with the TwinStomp BOOSTER, which can be used either before or after the ACTIVE A/B-Y.

o    Two quality footswitches are provided.  The A/B-Y footswitch selects between either or both amplifiers and A-B footswitch selects between amplifier A or amplifier B.

o    Two LEDs are provided to indicate which amplifier is active.  When both are active one of the LEDs is brighter - this indicates which amplifier will stay on when the A/B-Y footswitch is operated.

o    Very low battery drain.  An On-Off toggle switch is provided to allow the 9 Volt supply (Either battery or external supply) to be switched off without disconnecting input lead.  You can leave your rig connected without fear of draining your battery. 

o    Sounds great when operating on 9V battery.  9V input socket is supplied for those who prefer to provide power from other sources. 

o    Handwired providing extremely reliable interconnections.  All connections are lead free soldered there are no plugs and sockets used inside the pedal.

o    Purpose designed non-magnetic stainless steel enclosure, provides:

                    -    Extremely robust construction

                    -    Non slip feet which can be removed to allow permanent fixing to a pedal board

                    -    Unique battery holder - (UK Patent Application GB2449236 A) - battery can be replaced quickly without the removal of the base

o    Two purpose designed TwinStomp ACTIVE A/B-Y (copyright) printed circuit boards manufactured byISO9001:2000 registered firm in England.                

o    Supplied with Test Certificate giving full final test results.   Every pedal is permanently serial numbered and full records are maintained of build configuration and test results.   Circuits are fully tested twice. We are looking for clean unclipped signals from sine and square wave inputs.  Our quality assurance testing is conducted at 10hz, 100hz, 1khz and 100khz for our standard pedal.

Our resident guitarist puts every pedal through its paces on a pair of quality amplifiers before signing the Test Certificate.
